EELS! Update š
And This Week In Fluffles
Well, I did it. I finished writing my second book š.
EELS! š
Full title: EELS!: This Tsunami Bites.
EELS! is a eco-disaster/horror/survival thriller that takes place in my current hometown of Newport, Oregon.
Here is my EELS! elevator pitch: When āThe Big Oneā hits the Oregon Coast, the tsunami leaves more than water behind. Bioluminescent man-eating eels are everywhere. And theyāre hungry.
The book is in final-final production. Iāll keep everybody updated as to publication date. There were delays (researching eels). š¤
This Week In Writing & Living
Iāve been writing.
And outlining.
A lot.
I started my next book immediately after EELS! was complete. Itās important to get on the literary horse and ride it like a lunatic until the next mental breakdown.
In sad news, the āShift+Nā stopped working on my laptop. Itās amazing how many capital Ns a person needs when writing a book. Now I have to caplock+N instead of shift+N to get a capital āN.ā Life can be rough.
In Rockwell Family News: We went out to eat at a great restaurant Local Ocean last Sunday to celebrate a birthday that wasnāt mine. Itās important to the birthday-person in question NOT to tell anybody at the restaurant/work/public that itās his/her birthday. So I didnāt. If a group of waitrons had come over to sing at the table for his/her birthday I would have been murdered. šŖ
Below was the view from our table. Off in the distance you can see the Yaquina Bay Bridge. Itās very high and I get dizzy driving over it. So I donāt.
The bridge has a prominent role in my upcoming book:
EELS!
(Have I mentioned EELS!??)
In Fluffles News
Hereās Fluffles being cranky about something.
A Quick Note On My āName Changeā.
I changed my name on Substack from āAdam Rockwellā to āAdam Lutzi Rockwell.ā I have too many second cousins in Salt Lake City named Adam Rockwell muddying up the internet.
So now Iām: Adam Lutzi Rockwell!
It has a literary ring to it even though Iām decidedly not literary.
āLutziā was my grandfatherās middle name: āNorman Lutzi Rockwellā (the well-known over-the-road truck driver, not the famous painter). His actual name was āNorman Lutzy Rockwellā but changed it (himself, not legally) to āLutziā. Therefore, I was apparently named after a mispelling.
Very on-point for me š¹šø
See you next week! I think. Weāll see if my computer holds on or if Iāll be doing all of my writing on the typewriter.

Best wishes on starting the new book, Adam! Go! Love Fluffles, as always, and wise of you to not mention someone's birthday in a public place when that someone prefers it that way. Go x 2! The photo of the bridge is lovely, and I'm with you about not driving over bridges, especially those that sway in the wind and seem to only have professional race drivers on them at all times. Every day.
it's gonna be good! can't wait to read it. happy belated birthday, Rockwell family member!!
